Your Fountain of Youth

Your Life is in Your Hands

You have a choice. Do you want to follow some healthy eating tips or take a chance on prescription drugs. You’ve seen the parade of casualties: Health Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith, River Phoenix, John Belushi, a growing list. All of these notables suffered the extreme dangers of prescription drugs. In fact, the drugs and/or the combination of drugs killed them.

Beyond the dangers of possible addiction, there can be serious side effects associated with prescription drugs, especially when you’re on more than one medication. Statistics show that most seniors are on 5 or more drugs. Researchers have no idea how 3 drugs interact, let alone 5. They warn you of ‘possible’ side effects: dizziness, nausea, liver damage, heart attacks, strokes, infections that can lead to death. These are not made up side effects. Go to drugs.com or drkoop.com and check out any drug – alphabetically.

Read the Labels

Pick up a bottle of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter spray and the first words you read are ‘non-fat’. Here’s the confusing part. Government regulations say that as long as one serving contains less than ½ gram of fat, you can call it non-fat. What does that mean to you? It means that if one spray of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter contains ½ grams of fat, then ten sprays contain 5 grams of fat. And if you pour half a cup on your popcorn, thinking you’re getting no fat, guess again. As you read the label remember...

. The numbers are 'per serving'. How many servings are in the product?
. In addition to fat check trans fat, sodium and sugar
. Most importantly, check the 'other ingredients'.

In the next pages we’ll tell you the most toxic chemicals food companies add to their products. Get started on more healthy eating today and feel better tomorrow.
